IdentiNet brings together historians and social scientists from over twenty institutions in twelve countries across Europe, the US, Africa, and Asia. They are all pioneers of research into the history and methodologies of individual identification in diverse contexts, and have been identified as leading authorities in the most important fields. A core of historians is flanked by experts from other relevant disciplines including the history and philosophy of science, criminology and law, computer science, sociology, political science, bioethics, as well as media and policy studies. In addition, a network facilitator runs day-to-day administration, coordinates workshops and maintains the project website.
